Vintage Stereo Equipment

Vintage Stereo Equipment! I've finally retired my Audio Analyst Phase Matrix M8s from the late 1970s! Audio Analyst was a speaker company in Connecticut (Danbury?). These speakers still sound great and have served me well all these years! I needed to have the 12" woofers re-coned at one point. Unfortunately the frames were damaged in shipping. After researching and consulting my audiophile guys it was determined that Velodyne woofers would be an appropriate replacement. I've enjoyed them for many years after that. These speakers combined with my vintage Setton 660 receiver (from the same era) are absolutely magical! I still love the way these sound together. Now a hard decision, do I keep them around or sell them? See photos on my newly created Audiophile Corner page here

It's interesting that years later I inherited a pair of Audio Analyst AX-100s from my father. He had good taste in speakers! –Mike Freeman
